Mixing flash with daylight.

Always a fun way to achieve a very dramatic look. Mixing flash and daylight can allow you to shoot in dark or back-lit situations and get results that would other wise never exist. Being able to control your subjects exposure separate from the "scene" allows for pushing and pulling of your subject from the background.
In these scenes I was shooting with between one & three heads with an Octi or umbrellas. The light source for the most part are Profoto 7B packs.

Time lapse photography

This was a fun project that was taken in Oct 2008 at Montreal's STEP UP FOR THE CURE. An event that raises money for Cancer research. The shoot was easy. Completing a 24 hour stair-climbing marathon...less easy...but amazing.

That's Molson Stadium in Montreal and if you look carefully (sorry, compressed for the net) you see runners on the steps. (yes, all day and all night)

It is one frame every minute for 24hours. Noon to noon.
